Taekwondo is divided into 2 main systems which are the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and the World Taekwondo (WT). Olympic Taekwondo is closely associated with WT.


World Taekwondo Headquarter

Kukkiwon as known as World Taekwondo headquarter was establised in 1972 which serves as the governing body issuing Taekwondo black belts certification as well as Dan promotion.

World Taekwondo

World Taekwondo (WT) is the International Federation (IF) governing Taekwondo and a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federation (ASOIF) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC). WT is responsible for the development, growth and administration of Taekwondo through educational, cultural and sporting events around the world.


Ontario Taekwondo Association

Ontario Taekwondo Association is the official governing body for World Taekwondo in Ontario since 1982. It is the sole Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) recognized by Taekwondo Canada, the National Sport Organization (NSO) and Ontario which the Association offers programs for coaches, athletes and officials for promotion and development of Taekwondo across Ontario.
